Vomiting…to determine if your bird is vomiting or regurgitating (natural way that young birds are often fed, and during courting), note the body language of the bird and the nature of the expelled food. In regurgitation there is a pumping or bobbing head action and the food is still somewhat intact. In vomiting, the head is flicked from side to side and digested food is spread over the cage. If your bird is vomiting or if the regurgitation and vomiting occur together, call the vet as it could reflect an infection, parasites, poisoning, something stuck in its throat or other serious conditions.
